What Are Dermal Fillers?

KYBELLA® for Submental Fullness
KYBELLA® is a prescription injection that reduces moderate to severe fat under the chin. It works without surgery and is available at our Arlington Heights office.
The active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid. This molecule occurs naturally in the body and breaks down dietary fat. When injected under the chin, it destroys fat cells permanently — they cannot store fat again.
How it works:
- Synthetic deoxycholic acid is injected into the fat beneath your chin
- Fat cells are destroyed at the treatment site

Most neurotoxin results last three to four months, depending on the area treated, the product used, and your individual response.
What is the difference between neurotoxins and dermal fillers?
Neurotoxins relax the muscles that cause wrinkles. Dermal fillers add volume and smooth lines by filling under the skin. We often use both together for a more complete result.
When will I see results from neurotoxin injections?
